Aging Well: Senior Health and Safety Fair

The City of Cornwall’s Senior Friendly Community Committee is happy to announce their second Aging Well: Senior Health and Safety Fair. The fair is taking place on Wednesday June 19th from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm at the Benson Center in Cornwall.

This free event is open to everyone and will showcase services and programs for seniors and their caregivers. With 50 exhibitors and 3 workshops focused on aging well, there is sure to be something for everyone.

“Aging well is about maintaining our independence, ensuring a high quality of life, staying active and engaged in our communities as we grow older, and assuring a higher quality of life in our senior years,” said Bernard Lamarche, chair of the Senior Friendly Community Committee. “This fair is an excellent opportunity for seniors and their caregivers to access valuable resources, learn new skills, and connect with a wide range of services that support healthy and vibrant aging.”

The workshops are scheduled throughout the day on topics including senior safety, mental health and well-being. Exhibitors range from senior clubs, education and volunteer opportunities, municipal services, senior living homes, recreation programs, and much more.

“The upcoming Senior Fair is going to be an event not to be missed. The community has come together again to offer our seniors a first class fair.” said Norm Quenneville, board member of the Senior Friendly Community Committee.

Come and enjoy this amazing event and get a chance to win prizes including a new Amylior GS 100 Scooter valued at $1,995.00 generously donated by our Title Prize Sponsor, TLC Medical Supply.
